Influences I was musically influenced by many people in my life, the one that stands out the most is my Dad (saxaphonist) Arnie Lanier. Because of him I was introduced to and able to play with a lot of old school professional musicians who understood the music and the business. People like. Jack McDuff and Jimmy McGriff really taught me how to play the bass even though they played the foot pedals on the B-3 Hammond.
